During Your Appointment Time:
- Individuals and Group Leaders log into the Housing Portal during your appointment time to select your room.
- Once your appointment time has started, click your browser's refresh button to see the 'Room Selection' step added to your AY 2020-21 Application menu options.
- If you do not see the Room Selection step, log out of the Housing Portal and log back in to view. You will only be able to view the Room Selection step once your appointment time has started.
- Individuals and groups have from the start of their appointment time through the end of Room Selection to pick a room. The Room Selection step in the Housing Portal closes on April 30 at 2:19 p.m.
There are three pages within the Room Selection step:
- Select Your Building
- Select Your Room
- Finalize Your Room - a timer shows how long you have to complete this step before the room is released for others to select. If the timer runs out, you will be redirected back to the selection page to select your room.
Live Updates:
A digital display featuring an up-to-date listing of available rooms will be posted in the 'Announcements' section of the Housing homepage on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
Waitlist:
- The 'Housing waitlist preferences' step will be available when few available rooms remain. The deadline to complete the Housing waitlist preferences step is April 30, 2020 at 4:00p.m. Learn more about the Housing waitlist.
- Students who do not select a room or complete the Housing Waitlist Preferences step will lose their guaranteed housing status for the remainder of their time at Columbia.
